Gagosian Quarterly. Summer 2026
The Summer 2026 issue of Gagosian Quarterly, with Ellen Gallagher’s Fast-Fish and Loose-Fish (2026) on the cover.
This issue opens with Sharad Chari reflecting on a visit to Gallagher’s Rotterdam studio, alongside Sebastian Smee on Francis Bacon in Paris, Adam D. Weinberg on Giuseppe Penone’s work in bronze, and Derrick Adams in conversation ahead of his first mid career survey. Marking the 61st Venice Biennale, several features turn to the city itself, from Jenny Saville’s major show at Ca’ Pesaro to Ben Street on Tiepolo and Nancy Spector on her pairing of Richard Prince and Arthur Jafa at Fondazione Prada.
The literary section brings new fiction from Helen Oyeyemi, Mary Gaitskill in dialogue on her Faust inspired Picture Books, and a profile of novelist Elaine Kraf. Elsewhere, the issue considers Charli XCX’s mockumentary The Moment, the mythological figures of Anselm Kiefer, and the enduring furniture of Donald Judd.
